16 Sep September 2021 Covid-19 Update
Last month, we were saddened by the news that a fire had occurred in the early hours of the morning in the Centre’s gymnasium. The Bayside City Council are currently managing the restoration work to ensure that the Centre is safe and fit to resume our programs as soon as possible. At this stage, a timeline for when this will be completed has not been confirmed.
In regards to the current Covid-19 restrictions and when we can re-open the Centre, it seems that we are still a way off recommencing our programs that started at the beginning of this term. As always, we are governed by the restrictions from the Victorian Government.
At this stage, there will be no chance to re-commence our programs until we are given the green light for community centres and indoor sport and recreation to resume. Hopefully when the Premier announces his planned roadmap on Sunday, we will have a better idea of when this might occur.
The fees that have been paid for Term 3 will carry over to when we are able to re-start our programs in Term 4. If the Centre is unable to open in Term 4, the Centre will look at a credit/refund system for the following year.
These are very difficult times for everyone, and it will be incredible when we are allowed back to the Centre to enjoy the many programs and activities that we offer.
We will keep you posted once there are any changes to the restrictions and any further updates regarding the fire restoration of the Centre. In the mean time, if you have any questions please send an email to email@example.com.
Until we are back up and running in the Centre, please stay safe and take care.
