Brighton Rec Centre values inclusiveness and is committed to creating an environment where everyone can learn new skills and have fun regardless of their ability. Our All Abilities Pottery class for people with mental and physical disabilities, aims to provide students with the opportunity to gain creative skills, hand/eye coordination, listening and focus skills, confidence and build lasting friendships.
Our All Abilities pottery class accommodates for many types of students from those with learning needs, congenital disorders, to visual impairments and those who have anxiety or require additional social assistance in a personalised setting. All the participants have the opportunity to learn and progress at their own ability and time and modifications are tailored to each individual’s needs and abilities.
We have a small number of students in the class and parents/carers are welcome to attend if desired and required.
