Beginner Wheel Class

This course is for beginners with no previous experience throwing on a wheel. You will learn the fundamental skills of clay preparation, using a wheel, centering clay, how to throw basic forms, trimming and glazing.

The class includes all materials clay, tools, glazes and firing of 6 pieces per term.

Wheel and Hand building Class

This course is for both beginners and intermediate students and offers hand building and pottery wheel throwing skills and techniques for pottery making. Wheel throwing will only be available to intermediate and advanced wheel throwers or for students who have undertaken at least one term of the beginner wheel class.

The class includes all materials clay, tools, glazes and firing of 10 pieces per term.

Class time: Beginner Wheel
Monday 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Fee: $48 per class (max 6 students)
Class time: Wheel and Hand building
Monday 1.00pm – 3.00pm
Tuesday 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Wednesday 1.00pm – 3.00pm
Wednesday 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Thursday 1.00pm – 3.00pm
Fee: $43 per class (max 12 students)

Please note:

  • Concession/Health Care card holders are entitled to a 15% discount for all pottery classes upon presentation of their valid concession/health care card.
  • Classes will not run on Public Holidays therefore class fees will not be charged on days applicable.
